SOP on cleaning & operation of stacker.
Objective: To lay down the procedure for cleaning and operation of stackers.
Scope: This SOP is applicable for stacker cleaning & operation in warehouse in formulation plant.
Responsibility: Officer/above of Warehouse shall be responsible for implementation of SOP.
Accountability: Head – Warehouse shall be accountable for compliance of SOP.
Procedure:
Procedure for cleaning.
Bring the stacker to de-dusting area.
Disconnect the battery connection from the stacker.
Ensure the forks in down position.
Remove the sticky dust from all critical parts.
Clean the parts of stacker with the help of dry duster.
Gently rub all the outside surfaces with wet cloth/duster.
Wipe the rubbed surface with dry duster.
Place the stacker at respective place.
Procedure for operation.
Bring the main key from Keyboard.
Switch “OFF” the supply of stacker.
Switch “OFF” the charger and disconnect from charger socket.
Push battery socket to stacker plug.
Insert main key and turn it clockwise.
Open platform and stand on it.
The steering or driving handle in the upright position and use for forward and reverse accordingly as space available to move the stacker.
Horn button is also provided on steering handle, in emergency horn is to be blown.
Two levers are provided on right side of the handle, one which is on the inner side is fork lever to operate for stacking purpose which has three gears to stack material at different heights.
The other lever on the outer side is to open the limb stabilizer i.e. support lever, required for stacking materials at heights.
Use limb stabilizer to stack pallets on the 2nd & 3rd
To stop the stacker push down or release the handle.
Put the stacker for battery charging at the end of the shift.
Take out the main key and keep it at respective place.

Cleaning frequency is weekly.
