SOP on Cleaning, Maintenance and Calibration of Stability Chamber
Objective: To lay down a procedure for cleaning, maintenance and calibration of stability chamber.
Scope: This SOP is applicable for the cleaning, maintenance and calibration of stability chamber.
Responsibility: QC Chemist or above AND Electrician or above
Accountability: Head – Quality Control & Head – Engineering
Procedure:
Cleaning:
- Chamber shall be cleaned from outside daily.
- Boiler tank shall be cleaned weekly or after maintenance.
- Water reservoir tank shall be cleaned weekly or after maintenance.
- Boiler heater shall be cleaned weekly or after maintenance.
- Cleaning record of the stability chamber shall be maintained
Maintenance:
Working of safety cut off shall be checked in 3 month by giving external heat to the dry bulb sensor.
Water level of the reservoir tank as well as of the main tank shall be checked at the start of shift and at end of shift.
Preventive maintenance of stability chamber shall be done by the service engineer in 3 months and record shall be maintained.
During preventive maintenance service engineer shall clean the PT-100 sensor tip, Chamber fan, Condenser, Condenser fan, Condenser motor, and control panel.
During operation, if any abnormality found, QC Head or nominee shall informed to service engineering department
Engineering head assign the job to the concern person and engineering person shall check the problem.
Incase engineering persons is not able to rectify the problem, inform to QC head or nominee.
Section head or nominee shall fill the breakdown history on history card
QC head or nominee shall intimate to vendor for service engineer visit. Service engineer shall check and rectify the problem, after rectification service engineer shall provide service report.
Calibration:
Calibration of the stability chamber shall be done by external agency as per SOP
