SOP ON PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF SURROUNDING PREMISES

OBJECTIVE: To lay down a procedure for cleaning and maintenance of surrounding premises.

SCOPE: This Procedure is applicable for cleaning and maintenance of surrounding premises.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Housekeepers: Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of surrounding Premises.

Housekeeping Supervisor: Responsible for monitoring cleaning activities carried out by housekeepers.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Head of Personnel and Administration shall be accountable for the Compliance of this SOP & implementation of this SOP

PROCEDURE:

Cleaning of ETP, Utility, water system, scrap yard, security office, building roof and miscellaneous areas of factory premises;

Collect unwanted papers, dry leaves and any other items in a container and discard.

Clean surrounding of premises of entire factory by using hard broom.

Wash the area with ample quantity of water (if required).

Sprinkling of water for lawn and other areas;

Water the leaves and plants by using flexible pipe.

Use treated water for watering purpose.

Trimming of grass and plants;

Ensure that there is no unwanted growth of plants.

Cleaning of drain, water canal and septic water underground tank;

Remove unwanted dry leaves, papers or any other items fallen in drain and water canal, clean it by using hard broom.

Remove water of septic tank, and complete the cleaning by external agency.

Maintenance of walls, pillar, building external surfaces;

As per building maintenance checklist, identify such instance on daily basis and maintain accordingly.
