DESIGN QUALIFICATION PRE-APPROVAL
OBJECTIVE: To prepare detailed specifications (Design data) for HVAC System and its major components, to Ensure that the User Requirement Specifications, as described in RDS are achieved.
To design the system in conjunction with the design data in order to provide basis for the Vendor & manufacturers to design and fabricate the system (equipment & component) to meet Design intent.
SCOPE: Applicable to the HVAC System, Data sheet for the subjected equipment and its major components is defined by the consultation, which is finalized and mutually discussed with the system supplier. The design qualification is a basic document for the subsequent Validation activity.
RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of the DQ Protocol
- Collection of Date & preparation of final design
- Execution of the protocol and preparation of DQ Summary Report
- Checking the protocol for accuracy and adequacy prior to the approval
- Review and approval of the protocol

EQUIPMENT / SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
The subjected HVAC System is designed; AHU is of re circulated type and made from double skin panels filled with PUF insulation density of 40 ± 2 kg/m3 and assembled as a closed box with Aluminum profiles. Profiles are fitted with thermal barrier to avoid condensation over it. AHU is provided with a stainless-steel drain tray for collection of condensates.
AHU is sized to accommodate different sections like mixing chamber, cooling coil, fan motor assembly, First stage (EU-4) Fine filter, and Second stage (EU-5) fine filter.
All the filters are provided with specific distant from Motor Blower assembly and thus the operator is protected during maintenance. Blower assembly is provided with anti vibrator isolators to minimize the vibration to AHU.
Access doors are provided for each section and door locks are provided with gasket, to avoid leakages from the doors.
AHU is provided with manual type volume control dampers at supply air outlet, return air inlet and fresh air inlet & Bleed air outlet.
The total volume of air is supplied to the process areas with the help of supply duct, which is made up of GI sheet and the air returns to the mixing chamber through the return duct which is made up of GI sheet.

DESIGN QUALIFICATION SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
On completion of DQ activity it is found that the manufactured system and its component do not have any deviation with design specification. The system can be taken for installation and further qualification.
