- OBJECTIVE
- To lay down a procedure for Maintenance of Ventilation System
- SCOPE
- This SOP is applicable to Ventilation System (Supply & Exhaust).

- PROCEDURE
- Weekly Maintenance
- Check condition of the belt for wear, tear and damage and replace if damaged and clean the area with cora cloth
- Ensure no air leakages form the rexine cloth connection.
- Ensure no vibration from the system.
- Ensure belt guard is proper position.
- Clean the system with Cora cloth (Free from dust, grease, oil and Foreign material)
- Ensure all the indication lamps are glowing.
- Check and ensure the snap operation of all push button.
- Put a Tick mark (Ö) in Weekly Check Sheet after completion of each activity. If it is not O.K put a cross (X) in Weekly Check Sheet indicating the reason in remarks column.
- Immediately inform to the concern superior if it is not O.K (X) and take necessary corrective action as per the advice.
- Any such deviations should be maintained in the Machine History Cord along with necessary corrective action and its complaints there of.
- Monthly Maintenance
- Re greases the motor and blower bearings. .
- Tighten all terminations in the panel and clean the control panel with air blower
- Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Monthly Check Sheet and repeat the steps as per 5.1.8, 5.1.9 & 5.1.10.
- Quarterly Maintenance
- Clean the 20 micron filter, 10 micron filters and 5 micron filters as per SOP No:32MT060C and replace the filters if pressure drop across the filters is more than the 14 mm of WC (or) any damages and ensure no gaps between the filters and frame.
- Check the cushy foot mountings of rubber pads, replace it if found any damage
- Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Quarterly Check Sheet and repeat the steps as per 5.1.8, 5.1.9 & 5.1.10.
- Half Yearly Maintenance
- Replace the 20 micron filters with new filters if Pressure drop across the filters is more than 14 mm WC or any damages and ensure no gap between the filters and frame.
- Check the dynamic balance of the blower by empty rotation of the blower with dial gauge, make it balance if found any un balance any unbalance.
- Clean the motor surface externally and re greases the motor bearings.
- Put a Tick mark (Ö) in Half Yearly Check Sheet and repeat the steps as per 5.1.8, 5.1.9 & 5.1.10.
- Yearly Maintenance
- Replace the 10 micron filters with new filters if Pressure drop across the filters is more than 14 mm WC or any damages and ensure no gap between the filters and frame.
- Replace the 05 micron filters with new filters if Pressure drop across the filters is more than 14 mm WC or any damages and ensure no gap between the filters and frame.
- Check the blower bearings clearance with feeler gauge, replace the bearings if clearance more than 0.1mm
- Check and ensure the CFM of blower with anemometer with respect to design parameters
- Put a Tick mark (Ö) in Yearly Check Sheet and repeat the steps as per 5.1.8, 5.1.9 & 5.1.10.
