Checklist for Do’s and Don’ts for Sample preparation of temperature / light-sensitive material and product

Checklist for Do’s

  • In the case of temperature-sensitive / light-sensitive material collect samples from the respective storage area & allowed them to attain room temperature before using i.e weighing, pipetting, etc.
  • During analysis close the sample container immediately after use and do not leave it open.
  • For Light sensitive material/Drug Product sample preparation should be done in sub-duded light & use amber-colored glassware.
  • For temperature-sensitive material replace the sample back to the storage area immediately after sample preparation.

Checklist for  Don’ts

  • Don’t use temperature-sensitive material immediately for analysis.
  • Do not expose the sample to ambient temperature for a longer duration i.e. for greater than 60 minutes.
  • Don’t perform analysis of light-sensitive material in the presence of light. Don’t use routinely transferred glassware for analysis.
  • Don’t store temperature-sensitive material at room temperature.
