Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QC Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to the customer’s and Flowserve’s specifications and international standards. Besides, the QC Inspector is responsible for defining, advising, and controlling all project-required QC documents. The QC Inspector reports directly to the QC Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Documenting dimensional and visual inspections of the drawing or applicable procedures
• Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process
• Reviewing and verifying internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, and NDE personnel about Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures, and/or other applicable requirements.
• Reviewing and approving supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and taking care for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer, and the authorized inspection body
• Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications
• And any other duties assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws, and regulations of national and international authorities
• Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operations
• Effective utilization of CMMs is a plus
• Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems
• Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, and analytical with a positive, can-do attitude
• Flexibility and willingness to travel
• Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard
• HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years of relevant experience
