  • To lay down a procedure for operation of BOPP taping machine.

  • This SOP is applicable for operation of BOPP taping machine.

  • IPQA : In-process Quality Assurance
  • Procedure
  • Pre-Start UP
  • Check the status of the machine for its operation.
  • Visually check that machine and surrounding area for cleanliness.
  • Visually check that there are no remnants of the previous day’s operation.
  • Take the line clearance from production / IPQA officer before starting the BOPP taping machine.
  • Operation of BOPP Taping Machine
  • Obtain the BOPP roll from production officer as per the secondary packing material requisition from store.
  • Get the shipper coding batch details such as Batch number, Manufacturing date, Expiry date and Maximum retail price of vials from production officers.
  • Get the rubber stereos from production officer and set the stereos.
  • Stamp the shipper coding details on batch production record and get it approved from production/ In process quality assurance officer.
  • Switch “ON” the machine from main supply.
  • Set the BOPP tap roll each on upper side and lower side of roller.
  • Place the shipper box on the machine.
  • Adjust the height and width of the shipper box with the adjustable nuts.
  • Switch “ON” the machine.
  • Before starting the operation, get the BOPP taping on shipper box approved from production officers.
  • Continue the operation.
