MAINTENANCE OF COMPRESSED AIR DISTRIBUTION

  • OBJECTIVE                                              
  • To lay down a procedure for Maintenance of Compressed Air Distribution
  • SCOPE
  • This SOP is applicable to Compressed Air Distribution.
  • RESPONSIBILITY

  • PROCEDURE
  •  Daily Maintenance
  • Clean the filter bowl externally with dry Cora cloth
  • Ensure no waste material should be lie on bottom of the trenches & receiver.
  • Ensure receiver tank air pressure should be between 7-8 kg/cm²
  • Every one hour drain the condensate from 20 Micron, 1 micron and 0.01 micron air filters  and FRL Units
  • Ensure no air leakages at branch joints and arrest them if it is leaking.
  • Put a Tick mark (Ö) in Daily Check Sheet after completion of each activity. If it is not O.K put a cross (X) in Daily Check Sheet indicating the reason in remarks column
  • Immediately inform to the concern superior if it is not O.K (X) and take necessary corrective action as per the advice
  • Any such deviations should be maintained in the Machine History Cord along with    necessary corrective action and its compliance there of.
  • Weekly Maintenance
  • Check for pressure difference for the all air filters.
  • Check the condition of valves operation.
  • Check for any leakages in distribution
  • Check the functioning of safety valves
  • Check the functioning of all pressure gauge
  • Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Weekly Check Sheet.
  • Monthly Maintenance
  • Check and clean the filter elements of 20micron & 1micron air filters.
  • Check and clean the filter element and change lube oil for FRLunits.
  • Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Weekly Check Sheet .
  • Quarterly Maintenance
  • Check the condition of all 0.01micron air filter elements.
  • Check the condition of all 1 micron air filter elements.
  • Check the condition 20 micron air filter element.
  • Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Weekly Check Sheet.
  • Yearly Maintenance
  • Calibrate the all pressure gauges.
  • Check and replace the worn out ‘O’ ring for all 20micron, 1micron, 0.01micron filters.
  • Replace the filter elements if  the differential pressure exceeding the limit
  • Pressure testing to be done for air receiver tank.
  • Check the condition of total pipelines
  • Put a Tick mark (Ö ) in Weekly Check Sheet.
